I tried Balut (a fertilized
duck embryo that is boiled and eaten in the shell) for the very first time. I told myself that it is a cooked egg to give me the courage. I didn’t dare back in 2007
when Lian ate it. And in 1981, we were
not introduced to it. Back in 1981, I
was traveling with a tour group.
